Whitten said the right time to start building your credit is soon after you graduate from high school. Some of the ways she suggested were signing up for a credit card and having your parents co-sign, or being added as an authorized user to a parents credit card. Whitten also said a small auto loan is something that would help build credit.Whitten also said if you are going to start building your credit, make sure you first know and understand what credit is and how important having a good credit score is.
