Federal authorities are reminding travelers not to bring guns or any weapons through airport security checkpoints.
That's because this year officials with Hartsfield-Jackson Airport in Atlanta say 67 guns have been pulled from carry-on bags.
In Albany, airline officials with the Southwest Georgia Regional Airport say travelers with guns isn't a big issue.
Yvette Aehle, Airport Director with the Southwest Georgia Regional Airport says, "it's rare that we have to confiscate guns or any weapons here, but if you are caught with a weapon you will be arrested and won't be able to catch your flight."
She adds that if you aren't sure what's allowed on a planes and what's not. check out the TSA's website.
