In our Facebook story of the day, you wanted to know how many buildings the City of Albany owns and rents out.
Albany assistant city manager Wes Smith says the city owns about 1000 buildings. Out of those 1000, only 45 are used daily. 250 of those buildings are residential and the rest are FEMA flood properties.
Out of the buildings owned by the city, city attorney Nathan Davis add that there's only one major building that they rent out to the public which is the Civic Center in downtown Albany.
