Honoring the rock that holds a family together
On Friday, students at Lamar Reese Magnet School of the Arts honored their Grandparents by putting on a special program full of skits, dances, and musical numbers.
The program featured all students from all grades.
After the program grandparents got the chance to visit the students in their classroom and to take family pictures.
They also had the chance to shop in the school's book store.
Tonya McDuffie, Professional School Counselor at Lamar Reese Magnet School of the Arts says, "we want to honor grandparents because they are the rock that holds a family together."
McDuffie adds that about 400 grandparents attended the program.
