      Homeless man leads police on chase

      A man Cordele Police list as homeless led police on a chase early Sunday morning after he was involved in a disturbance at a local club, according to the Cordele Dispatch.

      50-year-old Charles Anthony McGruder was taken into custody by Cordele Police and says he faces multiple charges.

      He was taken into custody about 2:30 a.m. Sunday on the Sunset Homes parking lot.

      Officers say McGruder and his passenger led them on a short chase. When the vehicle stopped, the passenger fled on foot and is still being sought by police.
