Hit and run kills 2, injures one in Terrell County

Chief Charlie Whitehead with the Dawson Police Department has confirmed that Scotty Oxford turned himself into Eufaula, Alabama officials about 20 minutes ago for the hit and run accident that claimed two lives.
White adds that Eufaula police turned him over to the Georgetown Police Department and that Terrell County Sheriff deputies are on the way to pick him up.
Oxford is alleged to have hit and killed 24-year-old Latosha Harvey and her 4-year-old daughter Emani.
23-year-old Adrianna Glover was also hit and injured in the accident. Glover is currently being treated for her injuries at Phoebe Putney.
Whitehead said that the determination of charges will be left to the Georgia State Patrol.

Georgia State Patrol officials report two people are dead and a third is in the hospital after being hit by a white tractor trailer on Highway 520 in Terrell County around 7:45 p.m.
A 4-year-old and 24-year-old have passed away and a 23-year-old has been transported to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Her condition is unknown.
Police found the 18-wheeler involved in the incident abandoned at Golden Peanut on Stonewall Street.
Officials are searching for the driver who they say knows they hit people.
The white truck belongs to Sedrick Peak Trucking and is registered out of Shellman, Georgia.
