The father of Matthew Dean Horton and Kelly Marie Prescott spoke out Tuesday about last weeks tragedy.

Darrell Horton said he just doesn't see a need for a high speed chase and feels the death of his children could've been avoided.

Horton wants the Tift County Sheriff's Office to take another look at their chase policy and reevaluate when it's appropriate for a high speed chase. He hopes the law enforcement agency has learned a lesson from this and will think about this very incident the next time a similar situation arises.
