People in Lee County got a chance to tour the newest branch of HeritageBank this morning.
The bank has been open for about three weeks, but Wednesday they held the official ribbon cutting.
The building sits on the US-19 corridor between Albany and Leesburg. Officials say it's a prime location in a booming area.
"The HeritageBank wanted to expand into the lee county market with a full service facility. We have extended hours here. We have full service on Saturdays, so we just wanted to be able to make a commitment to the community, not only with a presence here but with a nice facility as well," said Jimmy Wilson of HeritageBank.
The new bank is part of $2.5 million project. HeritageBank also owns the property adjacent to the bank.
