Heat, humidity and a holiday forecast

Ridging over the Southeastern portion of the United States keeps the heat and moisture in place to get the work-week started.
Monday and Tuesday look to bring a mix of sun and clouds to Southwest Georgia. Daytime heating will raise the mercury in the thermometer to near 90 degrees through the afternoon. Heat and moisture in place could provide for a scattered afternoon shower or storm.
Keep those umbrellas handy as better chances for more widespread showers and storms move into the forecast for the middle of the week as a trough translates east from the Plains.
Have errands to take care of? The best time to get things done is at the end of the week. With the departure of the rain, a strong surface high pressure builds south into the eastern United States, allowing for some drier air to arrive and decrease the chances for rain. Temperatures will remain seasonable near 90 degrees.
Weather for Memorial Day weekend looks to be beautiful. Plenty of sunshine is expected. Slight chances for an isolated shower or storm shouldn't ruin any of your outdoor activities. Temperatures will be seasonable and in the upper 80s through the holiday.
