The Hasan Temple welcomed a monument from the Skalla Family Wednesday afternoon.
The monument was based off of a picture taken in 1970 of former Hasan Shriner Al Horton holding disabled child at an amusement park in Indiana.
A member of the Skalla family had once served as a Hasan Shriner, which is why they decided to donate.
The Hasan Shriners have made trips to 31 Georgia counties and have traveled over 61,000 miles to help transport disabled and burned children to hospitals in South Georgia this year.
