Albany Police are reporting that a woman that ran-over and killed a pedestrian last weekend has been charged with vehicular homicide.
Demetria Harris struck and killed Natosha McCray in the early morning hours of June 22nd at the intersection of Oglethorpe Boulevard and Harding Street.
Officials with the Albany Police Department say Harris has been charged with vehicular homicide, attempting to elude police, and leaving the scene of a pedestrian fatality.
Harris reportedly bonded out of the Dougherty County Jail this afternoon for $4,400 dollars, and authorities say the case remains under investigation.
Albany Police are saying that they are disappointed with the charges, considering Harris was in violation of her parole.
