This past Saturday FOX 31 News partnered with Austin's Fire Grill and Oyster Bar for the HammerJam fundraiser for the Flint River chapter of Habitat for Humanity.
The numbers are in and Southwest Georgia came out in a big way. The event was filled with food, fun, raffles, and live music. Organizers say around 500 people attended and they raised more than $10,000.
If you're wonderin,g that is twice as many people and twice the amount of money raised compared to the inaugural HammerJam in 2012. Habitat says they're excited about the success of the event and add they plan to host HammerJam III in the fall of 2014. Organizers thank all of the sponsors and participants who made this year's event so successful.
