Four men have been afforded a second chance at life.

A graduation ceremony was held Wednesday for those who have passed the Albany Tech Custodial Program at the Goodwill Career Center.

The men began the course back in December of 2013.

The S.T.R.I.V.E (Striving to Reach Inner Value Excellence) Program is a short term training program that helps offenders living in transition centers find employment.

"These individuals deserve another opportunity. They deserve the right to be able to be contributing citizens and be able to know what it's like to live free and at the advantages of that," said Catherine Griffin, with the Southwest Georgia Workforce Board.

The graduates have job offers throughout the city of Albany.
