Habitat given 3000 reasons to keep building

Flint River Habitat for Humanity has received a $3,000 check to put towards building two new homes.

Representatives from the Bank of America Foundation presented the check Tuesday morning at the Habitat Restore on Pine Avenue in Albany.

Habitat officials say the funds will be used to help complete two handicap accessible homes on Rosebrier Drive.

Although the Flint River Chapter of Habitat for Humanity has received several grants this year, they are still in need of funding. Officials say the $3,000 will go a long way in helping with costs.
