Georgia State Patrol and other law enforcement agencies will monitor the roads this holiday weekend as millions hit the road for the holidays.
Officials will be monitoring the number of accidents, injuries, and deaths on GSP's website.
Corporal Scott McClure with Georgia State Patrol says they want everyone to travel safely. "We're asking drivers to buckle up, slow down, and stay off of the phone. We're going to be on back roads, main roads, and some places you would least expect to see us. We're looking for impaired drivers, drivers who are texting, and speeders" says McClure.
If you need assistance or see an impaired driver officials need to be aware of you can make a free phone call to *GSP (*477) to reach local authorities.
