Officials with the Georgia State Patrol confirm that there has been a wreck involving a train and another vehicle.
The wreck happened about 3:30 p.m. in Sparks.
Sergeant JC Roberts with GSP says a city owned Ford F-150, driven by a 61-year-old man, was travelling on Railroad Street when he failed to yield for a train, which struck the driver's side of the vehicle.
The victim was ejected out of the vehicle and died according to Roberts.
The Cook County Coroner's Office is notifying next of kin.
GSP officials say that there was not a railroad arm at the intersection and the investigation is ongoing.
