Leaders in Albany are sponsoring a musical event to "Edutain" the public. Edutain is a word representing education and entertainment wrapped into one.
The Georgia Music Association will host the Gospel Crusade from October 29th to November 5, 2011. All communities and churches are invited to attend the event.
The founder of the Economic Research Institute for Behavioral Change says through the event he hopes to inform the public on ways to eliminate poverty within the community.
"We have a program called curing the poverty disease and we've come here to address the poverty issues and the growing economic divide not only in southwest Georgia but Georgia as a microcosm of the entire county," said Economic Research Institute for Behavioral Change Founder Kingston Jones.
The Economic Research Institute for Behavioral Change is based out of Los Angeles, California.
