Thanks to the signing of a new bill, Calhoun County may now see an increase of Agri-tourism and new jobs.

In September 2013, the Department of Revenue put a hold on Still Pond Winery and Distillery's retail license forcing them to cancel retail sales.

In return it slowed down visitation in the area, but thanks to Governor Nathan Deal signing House Bill 825 they can now sell making them the only winery and distillery in Georgia.

Charlie Cowart, with Still Pond Inc., says "we got a letter from the Department of Revenue last Friday saying you're clear to resume all operations at your winery and that was an absolute wonderful thing to happen."
