The 2013 Georgia Throwdown is being postponed until Spring 2014.
Justin Andrews with 340 Creative Group says the move of the festival from the fall to the spring is to allow for more planning time.
He says organizers got off to a late start for setting up the first Georgia Throwdown in 2012 and since they are running out of time to pull together the 2013 event, they don't want to end up in the same situation.
"We're just looking for community involvement. We tried this last year and it was a success overall but we got to get people to start getting involved in this city instead of just talking about it and make some things happen," said Andrews.
Andrews hopes that by pushing the date back, he will be able to line up better acts. He also wants to increase the amount of genres participating in the festival.
At this time, a specific date has not been set.
