      Georgia Gang Investigation Association brings training session to Albany

      It's an issue that's not only a big problem in Southwest Georgia, it's an issue that taken over the entire state, gangs.

      On Thursday, the Georgia Gang Investigation Association held training at Albany State University.

      Speakers say the purpose of this training is to make law enforcement aware of well and lesser known gangs.

      Officers with GGAI say having more training sessions like this one will help reduce the number of gangs in a more timely fashion.

      Officers add that the area with the highest number of gangs is Metro Atlanta.
