Georgia author comes to Albany

Brown is hoping to put out another book with more Civil War sites

A Georgia author was in Albany Thursday for a book signing. Barry Brown is the co-author of a new guide to Civil War sites in Georgia. The book covers 350 historic sites in detail.

Brown says there are several Southwest Georgia sites in the book. "Blakely where there's the first confederate flag pole, we have Valdosta, Blackshear the prison camp, and also the prison camp in Thomasville. So there are a number of sites in this part of the state," says Brown.

Brown is hoping to co-author another civil war book that will include some sites in Albany.
