The Georgia Chamber of Commerce expressed gratitude to the General Assembly for the progress on Common Core State Standards of the 2014 legislative sessions in Georgia schools.

Georgia began enhancing standards in 2010 and developed more rigorous standards since then including problem solving and critical thinking to emphasis college and career readiness.

CEO of the Georgia Chamber Chris Clark said "We appreciate their willingness to devote so much time to this important issue and their ultimate support of the continued implementation. We also look forward to continuing to work with all of our state's leaders, educators and parents to make positive progress with regard to educational improvement overall."
