GDOL updates employers on law changes
The Georgia Department of Labor's (GDOL) Mitchell-Baker Employer Committee and the Camilla Career Center will co-host a legislative up-date on laws passed this year by the Georgia General Assembly. The focus will be on laws that are of primary interest to employers in the area.
The event will be held Thursday, Oct. 6, from 9-11 a.m. on the second floor of the A.A. McNeil Building, located at 30 West Broad St. in Camilla. The featured speaker will be State Representative Jay Powell of House District 171.
The legislative update is designed for agricultural managers, business owners, human resource managers, supervisors, entrepreneurs, and chamber of commerce members. Cost of the seminar is $15 per person, including breakfast.
Employer committees are groups of local business representatives who establish and maintain working relationships between employers and GDOL career centers.
