GBI investigating two deaths in Pearson

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has been called in after two bodies were found in Atkinson County over the weekend.

According to the GBI, a neighbor called in about the bodies in the 300 block of West Allen Avenue in Pearson just before 2 p.m. on Saturday.

They have been identified as 72-year-old Willie Oliver Sr. and 62-year-old Jerome Nixon.

Both died from apparent gunshot wounds according to investigators, but will be undergoing autopsy at the GBI Crime Lab in Macon.
