      Gator found in Albany alley

      Two Albany Police Department patrol cars responded to an alley between 8th and 9th Avenue Tuesday evening in reference to a wild alligator.

      APD called in help from the Georgia Department of Natural Resources to remove the gator.

      The gator measured at 6 feet 8 inches and weight approximately 60 pounds.

      DNR officers tell FOX 31 that the gator will be taken to a water source in Decatur County.
