A scary sight for some residents in one Coffee County neighborhood Thursday.

A large gator wandered away from a nearby pond and into Bay Meadows Estates, in Douglas, Thursday evening.

Video sent to FOX 31 News captures a neighbor Robert Preston using a catch pole to tighten a rope around the alligator's nose. When secure, Preston then got on top of the alligator to get ahold of it's mouth so that it could be taped and removed from the driveway. While trying to secure the gator, it broke free from the catch pole and bit Preston before being restrained.

Preston received minor cuts to his forearm from the gator's teeth. No serious injuries were reported.
