Fundraiser serves as Merry Acres kickoff event
After announcing this week he was taking over as one of the co-owners of Merry Acres, Bo Henry held his kickoff event Friday night.
Jay's Hope is an organization raising money for families with children who have brain cancer. Jay's Hope began in memory of the founder's young son who passed away in 2006 of a brain tumor.
Friday night the organization held a fundraising event with an auction, concert by The Bo Henry Band and food by Loco's.
When asked why this event was the kickoff event for Henry and Stewart Campbell's new endeavor, Henry replied, "Why not?"
"Tonight (Friday) is a benefit concert for jay's hope. One hundred percent of the money raised goes back to support our families through the battle and tonight is sponsored by loco's and the Bo Henry band," says Cindy Gaskins, Founder and Director of Jay's Hope.
Henry says he hopes to hold more events -- like the concert for Jay's Hope -- in the future.
