Thronateeska Heritage Center is offering a free planetarium show on Saturday in honor of Museum Day Live.

Thronateeska is joining the Smithsonian Museum in offering free museum entry on Saturday, September 23rd.

Thronateeska is a free museum already but, it does typically cost $3.50 to view the planetarium show.

With a Smithsonian ticket, the planetarium show is free of charge for you and one guest.

Programs Director, Hannah Beth Hembree believes the event is a good way to go out and explore new museums in the area.

"It gives people who may not be able to go to that museum the opportunity to visit that museum and learn more about it,” said Hembree.

To download a free Smithsonian ticket, go to the Smithsonian website and type in Albany.

Thronateeska will be open Saturday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.
