Four men accused of a shooting going on trial
Jury Selection is underway in the trial of four men accused of a June 2009 shooting. Tchywaskie Lamar Jones and Dabkowski Detez Luke both 24-years-old, 21-year-old Jerry Lee Harris Junior, and 26-year-old Brandon Taylor are charged with multiple crimes including street gang terrorism and aggravated assault for use of a firearm.
District Attorney Greg Edwards says this conduct can't be tolerated. "Our mission at this time is to present evidence that will lead to the jury reaching a verdict that we think speaks the truth" says Edwards. "So the state is presenting that evidence with that intent and we'll go from there with regards to sentencing."
The potential sentence for the men is up to 35 years in prison each.
