A four-car accident on Jefferson Street sent one to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries on Wednesday.

Georgia State Patrol officials say a car was traveling over the overpass towards Philema Road when it rear-ended another car, who in turn hit the person in front of them.

They say a fourth car then came up over the hill, tried to avoid the pile-up and ended up side-swiping the car that originally caused the accident.

Officials stayed on the scene directing traffic until tow trucks were able to clear the area.
