Four arrested in Douglas dog fighting ring
Four Coffee County men are behind bars after officials busted a dog fighting ring on Sunday night, according to the Douglas Enterprise.
Officers with the Coffee County Sheriff's Office arrested the homeowner David Reed as well as Roger Lee Oliver, Maurice Glover and Reginald Hawkins in connection to the crime.
Police found 11 pit bulls in a man-made ring behind the home on Kathryn Circle after they received a tip in a 911 call, and say they believe gambling wasn't involved but the fights were held for bragging rights.
Reed, Oliver and Glover are charged with felony dog fighting while Hawkins faces a misdemeanor dog fighting count because he didn't own one of the pit bulls in question.
