Freshman at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College got the chance to hear from a former student at Friday's freshman convocation.

Caroline Black, the Education and Agritourism Coordinator at Jaemor Farms was the guest speaker.

Black studied agriculture at ABAC for two years prior to receiving her bachelors degree from UGA, then getting her master's of science from Texas A&M.

Black says she was honored to be asked to speak. She adds, "I really want the students to know the importance of agriculture and why they should go the extra step to utilize all the resources here at ABAC."

Black joined the Jaemor Farms staff in June.
