Former Albany business employee arrested on multiple theft charges
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has announced the arrest of a former Shutters Plus/Kitchens Design employee.
In a press release issued by Special Agent Kim Baker of the GBI, she stated that a former salesperson for the store, 55-year-old Deborah Shirley, had been arrested on multiple theft related charges.
Shirley is suspected to have allegedly taken $21,000 over a certain period of time. Officials haven't released the dates on which the transactions may have occurred but they do say the incidents spilled over from 2012.
Baker says that Dougherty County District Attorney Greg Edwards requested the Georgia Bureau of Investigation Sylvester Office to conduct an investigation into allegations of theft from the store in late January.
Shirley is facing six counts of financial transaction card fraud, two counts of forgery in the first degree, one count of theft by deception, and one count of deposit account fraud.
