Food options ahead at new airport terminal
The Albany-Dougherty Aviation Commission met on Monday evening to discuss whether they wanted to lease out a contract for food services or have a small vending area inside the new terminal.
After much discussion and hesitation by some members, the board decided to choose the architect, but hold off on which space it will be depending on the cost.
"We're going to wait and in the month of December, hopefully have SRJ Architects, who was the architect selected, to come back and do a presentation and kind of give them their idea of what it would look like, what the layout's going to look like, and also how much it would cost," said Southwest Georgia Regional Airport Director Yvette Aehle.
Aehle says if the price is right, the board will move forward with leasing out the space, but if it's too high they'll move forward with a more simple vending design.
