      Food, fun, & safety tips

      Having fun and learning at the same time, that was the message behind the fourth annual safety Saturday at the Sylvester Fire Department. The department opened their doors to dozens of local kids who got the chance to meet and greet not just firefighters, but members of all public safety.

      Having fun and learning at the same time, that was the message behind the fourth annual safety Saturday at the Sylvester Fire Department.

      The department opened their doors to dozens of local kids who got the chance to meet and greet not just firefighters, but members of all public safety.

      Fire officials say this is a great opportunity to educate get the word out about safety.

      Clinton Dean with the Sylvester Fire Department says, "a lot of times the kids actually go home and educate the parents and if we can educate the kid and the kids bring it back home to their families it creates a good learning environment."

      The Sylvester Police Department, and the Worth County EMS were also on hand to provide safety tips.
