The Flint RiverQuarium is getting a load of cash to help keep them afloat.

On Tuesday, at the Albany City Commission work session, commissioners voted to give the Flint RiverQuarium $200,000.

RiverQuarium Director Tommy Greggors says the money will go toward general operation and up keep.

"The sources from our earned income, the people visiting the aquarium the school groups, our facility rentals, educational programs all that help but in our markets and area we still need other support as well."

Last year the city commission gave the RiverQuarium $150,000.
