Happy birthday to the Flint Riverquarium.
It's been 10 years since they opened their doors.
Officials say it's been a tough few years getting up and running.
They say it's only been in the last three years they've seen good attendance.
In fact, in 2013 they had 60,000 visitors and this year they've had 30,000.
Officials say attendance is important because costs about $2500 a day to operate the facility.
Vicki Churchman with Flint Riverquarium says, "we have to have water for the animals, food for the animals, and staff for the animals. So that's been a real challenge for us to meet that cost."
They say their biggest goal over the next ten years is having more educational programs for kids of all ages.
