A man suspected to have shot someone five times is now on trial in Dougherty County.
Johkomia Fletcher is charged with aggravated assault in the shooting of Nebekenezzar Kendrick.
Kendrick was shot in the head, neck, and back on November 17, 2006.
Dougherty County District Attorney Greg Edwards says Johkomia Fletcher is on trial now because he had fled to Ohio and had to be extradited back to Albany.
The jury selection process for Fletcher's trial began on Monday. The trial is expected to last for several days.
