The Douglas-Coffee Drug Unit, with information from Atlanta-metro agencies, over the past several months has found a presence of heroin on Coffee County streets.

On April 7th, DCDU K-9 officers initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle and found 13 packages of heroin. Frank Johnson, Jr. of Pembroke Pines, FL was arrested for Possession of Heroin with Intent to Distribute.

On April 11th, DCDU detectives arrested Ricardo Harris in Nicholls. Harris was arrested on federal drug charges stemming from a multi-jurisdictional narcotics investigation in which several persons were arrested in multiple counties.

On April 14th, DCDU detectives received information Frank Johnson, Jr. had more heroin concealed within the rental vehicle he had been driving on the 7th. Detectives secured a search warrant for the vehicle and seized two more packages, almost an ounce, of heroin from within the impounded vehicle.

On the same day, detectives with the help of South Georgia State College officers, executed a search warrant at a dorm room in Tiger Village. Detectives arrested Tevin Richardson, Maya Carey and Tiffany Fambro.

Richardson possessed an ounce of marijuana in 28 packages, five packages of Oxycodone tablets and a 9mm handgun. Richardson was charged with Possession of Marijuana with the Intent to Distribute, Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute, Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Felony and Possession of a Firearm on School Property.

Carey and Fambro were charged with Interference with Government Property and Misdemeanor Obstruction after they fled out of a window, damaging the window, during the execution of the search warrant.
