Sherwood Baptist Church held their annual, "Freedom Fest" and had quite the turnout despite rainy conditions.
Officials with the church say putting the event on each year comes out of their own pockets, but it's something the community looks forward to year-round and that makes it all worth while.
"When you've got people coming out here from different races, different ethnic backgrounds, different economic backgrounds and just sitting next to each other getting to know one another and enjoy the night with music, fun and fireworks. There's nothing like it! So we just enjoy doing it," said event coordinator for Sherwood Baptist Church, Kenneth Bevel.
Those that came out had the chance to enjoy some music from a Beatles cover-band, and of course a firework display to wrap up then night.
