Fire fighting drills test fire fighters skills

Firefighters and fire officials from all over the state are in Albany this week for the 2013 Fire Conference.

The conference kicked off today with classes at their training center near Radium Springs and at Albany Technical College.

During these classes they'll be brushing up certain skills; some of these are how to extricate a victim from a car, how fast they can run into a burning building and save a victim, and how to operate a fire truck.

Whether new or old to the business, fire officials say it's important for everyone involved in fire-fighting to attend these classes because their job is always changing.
