Some residents are searching all over Dougherty and Lee County as part of a Zombie Survival GeoCache Scavenger Hunt.
GeoCaching uses coordinates to hint where something hidden may be â" players have to use a GPS or map to go to the location and start searching!
The event is organized by the Kattalistt Communication who hopes those who participated will learn a little about their community while playing.
"We chose a lot of locations that we feel are unique to Albany, kind of understated, people don't see them a lot. We're trying to gain exposure for various attractions that people underestimate," said organizer James Malphrus.
Hunters have until Tuesday night to find as many items as they can --- the winner earns a cash prize.
The Kattalistt Communication is continuing with the zombie theme after naming the winner by offering a special surprise to those who turn out to FrightNights on Friday downtown, a zombie-themed breakfast at Our Daily Bread on Saturday followed by the River Zombie 5K.
It all ends with a Zombie After(Life) Party on Saturday night at The Barcode.
