Investigators say they caught Stanton, his son 18-year-old Adrian Stanton, stepsons 23-year-old Bruce Johnson and 19-year-old Blake Johnson, along with 27-year-old Ryan Tarrer and 20-year-old Joseph Adkins were caught loading up a trailer full of stolen sewer parts a couple weeks ago. Police say it took time for them to figure out who owned the stolen goods. Stanton and the five other men turned themselves in to police over the weekend. Authorities say the operation was huge and the stolen items are worth $500,000. That's the largest amount in DCP history.
Detectives say the men would recycle the equipment and had only received about $10,000 for the items.
