Fatal shooting leads to arrest

The Camilla Police Department, with the assistance from the Mitchell County Sheriff's Office, responded to a shooting on Stephens Street around 10 o'clock Saturday night.

Chief Investigator Robert Casterline tells FOX 31 that the suspect, 21-year-old Samuel Stork and 21-year-old Rodney Pate exchanged words.

Stork left, and returned to the scene a short time after, got out of his vehicle and shot Pate multiple times, got back in his vehicle and fled.

Police found Stork around 2AM a block from his house on McNair Rd. where he was taken into custody and brought to Mitchell County Jail.

Friends and family say the suspect has a history of past violence and to want see the suspect get the max penalty.

Police tell FOX 31 that Stork will be charged with one count of Murder and warrants will be served Monday morning.

Pate is known by his friends as a guy that doesn't make bad choices and is one of the nicest guys a person could meet.
