Talks of bringing a new farmers' market to downtown Albany are picking up steam.
A coalition of farmers, businesses, and city leaders held a forum to discuss the farmers' market.
Officials say it's crucial they don't make the same mistakes in order to keep this farmers' market up and running.
"We want a family friendly environment. We also want to make that we have fresh and delicious produce that is going to be readily available that are made right in this area. And we want people to just know about it and take advantage of it," said David Milliner, who is leading the coalition.
They hope to have the farmers' market open in Albany and five other satellite cities by the spring.
