Mon, 20 May 2013 00:33:24 GMT — With summer just around the corner, farmers in Southwest Georgia are staying busy. However this season is a bit different, as officials in Washington have stolen the farming community's attention. The Farm Bill was passed earlier this year drawing appreciation from local representatives, saying the new legislation allows the farming community to continue doing business. But it's not just politicians that are excited, local farmers agree that these new guidelines could greatly grow their business."It really helps us out, just gets our products out easier and doesn't cripple us as an industry," said 'Walker Farms' official, Dakota Flanders.
Officials say their looking forward to the future, and hope these kind of laws can continue to benefit the farmers of America.
