The Lee County Superior Court ordered the Georgia Department of Corrections to carry out the execution of convicted murderer Warren Lee Hill on a date between July 13-20, 2013.

Commissioner Brian Owens has rescheduled the date for July 19, at the Georgia Diagnostic and Classification Prison in Jackson at 7 p.m.

Hill was convicted in 1991 for the murder of Joseph Handspike. If executed, Hill will be the 31st inmate put to death by lethal injection.

Hill has declined a special request last meal, so he will be offered the institution's meal tray, consisting of meatloaf patties, gravy, steamed rice, mixed beans, coleslaw, cornbread, cake and ice tea.
