According to Sgt. Chad Kirkpatrick with the Dougherty County Police Department, there have been nine entering auto cases in Dougherty County since May 5th.

Kirkpatrick says all of these have taken place in the Doublegate area of the county and every vehicle was unlocked when broken into.

He says this is a problem that could've easily been avoided. Kirkpatrick advises all residents, no matter what part of the county they live in, to lock their car every time they get out of it. Kirkpatrick says if you aren't going to lock your car then at least don't keep anything valuable inside.

Officials say they have yet to make any arrests or even have a suspect but if you have any information, call the Dougherty County Police Department.
