Sat, 24 Aug 2013 23:58:55 GMT — Over thirty fire and rescue employees went back to the classroom Saturday. Worth County fire officials re-trained on all the important areas that deals with saving people. The areas included search and rescue, diving, and lost and found. Tom Whittington, Worth County Emergency Management Director, says you have to stay up-to-date on matters that especially involve saving your life. Whittington says, "things change constantly in the rescue and it's newly updates, area of training and you learn to grow with the times." The training was mandatory for all full-time and part-time fire department employees.
The training happens every two years.
