The Albany Dougherty Economic Development Commission is looking for new businesses to come to The Good Life City, and they're looking at 500 companies to choose from.
The EDC has teamed up with a company based out of Montreal, Canada to sift through the long list.
The company's main job is to conduct very thorough research to identify the companies that may be a good fit for the Albany market.
They will also be responsible for helping take the first steps in getting them to come here.
EDC President Ted Clem says, "we're a low cost of doing business here in South Georgia, so we're a good market and that's the message that we are wanting to share with some of these companies."
The company will narrow their decision down from 500 to between 20 to 25, and from there they will decide on an even smaller list at a later date.
